Acupuncture & Bodywork
Susan finds the treatment room to be a loving, creative and sacred place where she can help her patients find their own unique “promise” and “irreplaceable place” in the world, working through physical pain and emotional obstacles and discovering new possibilities.
Susan has been practicing acupuncture since 1997, when she earned a Master of Acupuncture at the Traditional Acupuncture Institute (now Tai Sophia Institute). She also serves on the faculty of the institute’s Acupuncture, Therapeutic Herbalism, and Transformative Leadership and Social Change master’s degree programs. Susan is a nationally certified Diplomate of Acupuncture and a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Maryland.
Susan also has practiced bodywork since 1986. She is a certified massage therapist and Zero Balancer and taught at the Potomac Massage Therapy Institute in Washington, D.C.
For many years, Susan has led workshops and classes on skillful practices for living more consciously. At Skidmore College, Susan earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Services. She also is an alumna of the Academy for the Love of Learning.
