Bob Gordon, M.S.O.D., M.A., M.S. (candidate)
Counseling and Coaching
Bob offers counseling and coaching for individuals, career changers and couples. He is experienced in working with clients on issues of purpose, calling, and career; relationship, marriage, and parenting; mood; attention; codependency; grief and trauma (current and past), and spiritual growth and crisis.
Bob employs a whole-person approach that helps his clients achieve balance and harmony in relationships, work, and the spiritual aspects of being human. In his couples counseling, he uses Imago Relationship Therapy (developed by Harville Hendrix and Helen LaKelly Hunt).
Helping clients actualize their full potential is part of Bob’s strength as a counselor. He draws on his own varied life, work and educational experiences to accomplish this. Bob has directed career development, training, and organization development offices for three large public agencies and has been a management consultant. He is a CCUI-certified coach and coach trainer, a trained Imago Relationship Counselor, and was trained in loss and bereavement counseling at the St. Francis Center for Loss and Healing (now the Wendt Center). He is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Association for Imago Relationship Therapists, the National Career Development Association, Spiritual Directors International, and the International Center for Spirit at Work.
Bob holds a Master of Science in Organizational Development from American University in collaboration with the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science. He also earned a Master of Arts in Applied Healing Arts from Tai Sophia Institute, where he is a faculty member in the Transformative Leadership and Social Change graduate program. Bob will complete his Master of Science in Counseling from Loyola University Maryland in December 2011.
